59 PM EasternGeneral Definition of Work The position has the primary responsibility for Income Maintenance planning, coordinating, evaluating, and implementing of staff development activities for Income Maintenance DSS staff.
This position will be one of two responsible for the development & implementation of a Continuous Quality Improvement Plan as well as the Income Maintenance Annual Training Plan.

Essential Functions This employee is responsible for the development & implementation of a Continuous Quality Improvement Plan as well as the Income Maintenance Annual Training Plan.
The position has the primary responsibility for Income Maintenance planning, coordinating, evaluating, and implementing of staff development activities for Income Maintenance DSS staff.
Will conduct audits throughout the Income Maintenance Department to insure Compliance with all Policy and Procedures.
Sets the broad objectives for Income Maintenance training programs.
Serves as the leader for the Income Maintenance training team of supervisors and program managers.
Is responsible for coordinating training efforts with supervisors and program managers within the Income Maintenance area, and with state trainers to strengthen and expand the knowledge of agency staff.
Arranges and /or conducts training for Income Maintenance employees in a variety of occupational groups such as clerical, technical, para-professional, and professional staff to enhance technical, professional, administrative, and management skills of Income Maintenance staff.
This employee must consider the role and benefits offered by existing training.
This position receives guidance from the Agency Director, Agency Supervisors, and Agency Attorney to develop an effective training plan to meet the needs of current staff through advanced training and to meet the needs of new staff for orientation to the job.
This position is responsible for obtaining commitment(s) from trainers to deliver the approved training and to secure dates, locations, and times for the training sessions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience Broad understanding of Income Maintenance Policy and Procedures.
Ability to adapt to new tasks, formulate ideas, and clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate information in oral and written forms to a wide range of audiences, ability to develop and write course outlines, lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and curriculums, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, ability to respond appropriately to high stress situations by using appropriate methods of relating to and handling explosive and out-of-control behaviors with the emphasis on communication skills as the primary intervention method.
The focus is on appropriate de-escalation responses, ability to exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility such as assessing training needs, developing objectives, recommending training goals, training expenditures, and evaluating student learning, ability to interpret and administer federal and State guidelines and apply them to individual programs or situations, ability to plan and execute work independently, effectively, and efficiently, ability to teach, train, and orient social workers, students, interns, and other agency staff in an effective and efficient manner.
Considerable knowledge of behavioral and socio-economic problems and their treatment; laws, regulations, and policies that govern Income Maintenance programs.
Considerable knowledge of racial, ethnic, or other cultural groups in society, their values and lifestyles; techniques and methods of conducting formal and informal training programs for adult learners.
Considerable knowledge of the agency's programs, functions, services, protocols, and procedures, good time management skills.
Bachelor's degree is preferred from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual applicants with fluency in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
