Maintenance Associate - Mechanic

Hourly Rate: $24.04

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Install, maintain and repair stamping presses, roll formers, riveters, metal shears and slitters in a manufacturing plant following specifications and schematic drawings; visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment; install, program and repair automated machinery and equipment; maintain mechanical lift truck equipment; install, maintain and repair machines that fabricates medal duct elbows. Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.


A 2 year degree in industrial maintenance, other related fields and/or state certification is required (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree), plus a minimum of 1 year experience conducting machine maintenance and repairs that includes the following skills:

  • Blue print reading

  • Mechanical assembly and construction

  • Electrical teoubleshooting

  • Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience (recommended but not required)

  • Good communication and problem solving skills

Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and adapt to changing work demand, be flexible and available and available to work overtime on short notice.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required regularly required to stand, and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, tools, and/or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift up to 50lbs. This is a hands-on position that requires ability to work as a team as will as individual, being results oriented, attention to details and able to multi-task in a demanding and fast paced environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
